Do Your Own EFT
Face & Body Points
The following are the tapping points that are used for EFT.
Crown, Eye Brow, Side of Eye, Under Eye, Under Nose, Chin, Collar Bone, Under Arm, Beneath Nipple
If you haven’t read my disclaimer section please do so.
This is a quick method of doing EFT that you can try. I will be using a short form of the Basic Recipe, which is Setup – Reminder Sequence – Remaining Sequence. For a more complete explanation of EFT, download The EFT Manual from Gary Craig’s site.
You must have an anxiety, pain or fear that you can measure on your own Subjective Units of Distress scale (SUDs) from 0-10 with 0- being no pain and 10 being the maximum amount you can stand.
Be specific and personal about what that anxiety, pain or fear is and then note the number. If even thinking about the experience gives you heightened anxiety don’t tap. Find an experienced practitioner to help you. We have the ways to make this as pain free and tear less as possible
Once you have your SUDS level and the anxiety, start tapping with two or three fingers on the Karate Point (see Hand Points) saying “Even though I have this ________ (fear, pain or anxiety) I deeply and completely accept myself”. Repeat the phrase two more times, out loud, while tapping on the Karate Point.
Now we use the Head & Body points for the sequence and using two fingers and the phrase “This ______ (fear, anxiety, pain)”. This is the reminder phrase that we use on the Head & Body points. Start at the Crown and work down finishing with Beneath Nipple. At this point stop and take a deep breath in through the nose and let it out through the mouth. Check your SUDS level. You will be in one of several places. The SUDS is 0 and you can stop.
The Suds is less than where you started but not at 0 yet so now you tap on the same spots using the phrase “This remaining ______ (fear, anxiety, pain)” and tap through the points until you hit 0.
The SUDS level didn’t go down. You may not have been specific enough or have picked the wrong spot to focus on. “World peace “ is not as specific as “being calm in my house when the children are running around it” The pain may have been in your left foot and you were focused on your right foot.
If you got results, continue on learning and trying this on everything. If you didn’t get results phone a practitioner and setup an appointment or download the manual and start reading. EFT is very forgivable, anyone can do it and it can be done everywhere (see the hand points). Check out my Resources section. Hand Points
Thumb, Index Finger, Middle Finger, Ring Finger, Little Finger, Karate Point, 9 Gamut
If you are in a public place you can do this with one hand by using the index finger to tap on the thumb point and then use the thumb to tap on the other 4 finger points. If you are experiencing road rage use the steering wheel to tap on the karate point and then one hand for the rest of the points. Or use two hands using the index finger of one hand to tap the acupoints of the thumb and fingers of the other hand. Either way just follow the directions for the shortened Basic Recipe of above and happy tapping.
