"I injured my right foot in a traffic accident, the pain was severe and I met with Tom the next day to try tapping. The pain was a 7 but there had been a death in the extended family that I needed to deal with before I could work on my ankle. While I talked about that issue and went through my emotions Tom tapped on my fingers. After I had calmed down we could start on my foot. We then worked for about 20 minutes on my ankle. I was able to stand on my foot with no pain however there was still the swelling. We tapped for another 10 minutes and the swelling was gone.
