What is EFT?
EFT is a new discovery that has provided thousands with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues. Simply stated, it is a unique version of acupuncture except you don't use needles. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere.
EFT launches from the discovery statement "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system." The Chinese have been working with the body’s energy field for thousands of years. They have mapped out the meridians and the acupoints where these meridans may be tapped or poked to adjust the energy flow of that meridian. This method allowed them to reduce pain and allow healing. Tai Chi and Qigong are also working with the body’s energy called Qi (chi) to remove the blocks and allow the free flow of the chi.
Western medicine separated the mind and body and used various techniques to facilitate healing, ignoring the mind. In the early stages these techniques bordered on the barbaric. Thankfully the scientific principle allowed for refinements. Gary Craig had been working with Roger Callahan when he made his EFT discovery statement. He put the time-honoured Eastern discoveries, that had been around for thousands of years, together with Albert Einstein who told us, back in the 20s, that all mass is energy.
Because our physical pains and diseases are connected to our emotions the following also proved to be true "Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases." Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) alleviates physical or emotional difficulties.
EFT has brought freedom from disease for a great many people where Western Medicine had made no headway. EFT uses the body’s energy meridian lines along with a well focused verbal thought while tapping on the acupoints. The emotional charge attached to the event is reduced or removed while tapping through the basic recipe. Although the process usually is tearless, if the emotion is particularly charged, there are other techniques like The Movie Technique or Sneaking Up on the BIG one, that allow the process to be tearless for the client.
EFT and its cousins are now referred to as Energy Therapies in the Psychological Field and Meridian Therapies in the Medical and Acupuncture Field. It’s the same technique in either case and can be learned. These techniques have even improved golf scores!
The range of EFT’s effectiveness continually amazes me. |
